We proposed simple and neutral interior of baguetterie in the shopping center, with the intention of picking up the theme baguetterie - Build freshly baked baguettes from quality ingredients. We used materials in their natural forms, which are in addition to finance savings and we also increased naturalness and truthfulness of interior. For the main material we chose wood OSB board because it reminds crispy whole grain bagel.

The operating concept

This area is dominated by a counter used for preparing and output of baguettes with cooling box with gastro boxes. Thanks to the orientation of the counter, the customer has a visual contact with the seller from the moment of entry. The back counter is used for preparation and cleaning of raw food. We put here the main element of the baguette bar- oven for baguettes baking.

Materials

We designed the area with the range of materials, so we let excel the baguettes displayed on the light panel above the back counter. OSB boards with the rough-natural design appearance remind us the building material of baguettes and therefore we used it as a wall paneling. The raw character of boards was softened with mirror strips in the gaps between the boards.

Return to the original ceiling

We did the baguette bar project with respect to costs rationalization. So we decided not to reduce the height ceiling, the result is in a large airy space. With the proper use of the most ordinary materials we have achieved extraordinary interior, which is different from all saling areas around and attracts visitors of the shopping center.

Preparing counter

The rear panel is used for a coarse preparation of ingredients into the baguettes. Since it is not visually attractive activity, we placed the counter so that workers preparing baguettes are turned with their back to the bagetbar entrance, which means visual limitation from the hallway of the mall. The wash basins are placed so that employees have the view of the surroundings while washing.

OSB board as a dominant material of the space

We picked OSB boards as a main material of the space, we let the boards sanded and painted. The rough character of the board contrasts with clean lines of interior and its structure reminds the main article of the sale area - fresh baguettes.

Unconventional details

To extraordinary materials we added also unconventional details - for the sound system of bagetbar we used non-traditional speakers hung under the ceiling.
